Art critic
Another one of my scribbles.
“So, do you like my drawing?” I once asked my 3-year old.
My 3-year old looked at my drawing. Then he looked at me.
“No,” he said.
“No?”
“No,” he repeated.
“Why not?” I asked, a little irritated.
“It’s scratchy.”
But it’s supposed to be that way, I wanted to tell … nay, lecture my 3-year old. That’s why it is called a scribble. It’s a style. Picasso had a funny style. People liked it, though.
“Scratchy?” I asked my 3-year old.
“Scratchy,” he said while gesturing with his hands. “Your signature. It’s scratchy.”
Oh.
My 3-year old. My art critic.
Very honest. Too honest, I think.

hehe Honesty is the best policy. My toddler is no kinder. She asks me to draw and I ask her if I did it right .... NO! hehe!

Scratchy is our kids favorite word these days!
"No Daddy, I don't want that shirt - it's scratchy"
"No Mama, I don't want that macaroni - it's scratchy"
"No Mama, I don't want that movie - it's scratchy"
???

Yeah, you're supposed to fill in everything. And where are the trees and rainbows. And every picture should have a sun.
Keep it scratchy. It looks awesome and it will keep him thinking outside the box;)

This picture is beautiful!!!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog. The beautiful paintings on mine are NOT my own. The nursing mother one is "Maternity" a Picasso. I'm betting you already knew that, considering your artistic ability!!

This scribble is GORGEOUS! I have always harbored a deep-down dream of being able to sketch/draw/scribble my own children someday, and I'm still hoping that the little ones will show up sometime soon... So I can try to scribble them! In the meantime, I can admire beauties like this. And keep on dreaming...
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog -- it was a pleasant surprise, and of course you're always welcome!
Best to you! Keep up the beautiful work. I'm enjoying reading your stories.
