Photoshop me: Hand frame

Like one done for your child?
Three things:
Find a favorite photo, preferably taken outdoors with lots of colors. Action shots are better.
Take your child’s handprint. Lots of ways to do this. I used a water-based paint. More fun that way.
Scan or take a picture of your child’s handprint. Send this to me, together with your child’s photo at mike [at] mikeleonen [dot] com. In a day or two, you’ll have a digital file that you yourself could print. Or, you could have a photo center print it for you.
I charge a minimal amount—$18. You pay only when satisfied. Payments are made through PayPal.

I'll definitely do this with Nick but I'll see if we can get all three kids together with hand prints and paint and pictures at some point during this visit. :) What a beautiful idea.

That is SO cool! Mike, you're very talented. I would love to do this. I need to think about a photo...
It would make a great gift too - sneaking photos of nieces and nephews this summer.

wow Mike - this is really beautiful!! I will certainly be sending you something very soon in the near future. I just have to teach my son to not move his fingers when tracing his hand and to uncurl my baby daughter's fingers.
Oh yes ... I have to figure out my scanner too! It won't take too long though.
What a great idea!!

I'm thinking...I get my husband's hand print, a great photo of the boys together and ta dum...Father's Day surprise. DH would never guess why I wanted his hand print...he just does whatever foolishness I ask of him. :) Or maybe just the boys hand prints with their photos? Now I can't decide. Don't you love people who think out loud in your comments?
I will get back to you. Super idea.

wow. that is awesome !! mmm.. i may have to do this!

That would be equally cute for a dog or cat using a paw print instead of the hand. If you could get the pet's paw printed, that is.

What I told my readers ...Mike is offering to create your unique image starting at the most insane price of $18. Trust me when I say this: I would never create it for you for $18 and you know how much I love my readers. MOREOVER, He his giving you the rights to print and reprint the digital file he creates for you. This is a generous licensing agreement. Many artists control the printing process -- and charge dearly for it. So I highly suggest that you get over to Mike's Something about Parenting blog and take advantage of him his incredible offer before he comes to his senses. And while you're there, add Mike to your RSS feed reader.

How sweet! Mike the picture is great. This is a lovely service you're offering your readers.
I'd like Amy (who posted)to know that is possible to get a dog's paw print (i don't know about cats) - i've done it for an art project. And I agree this would be equally as cute with pets. I would opt to do with with children but I don't have any at the momment.

Hi Mike,
Can I do a post on my blog regarding this service of yours? You know some of my readers who are parents could be interested to order this. Of course, I'm doing this for FREE...heh heh
