About Something

  • My name is Mike. I love being a stay-at-home parent because, most of the time, I have no idea what I'm doing. Each day, I'm learning something new, I think (or I hope).

Ummmm....nope, no advice. I'm terrible a pumpkin carving and virtually everything else having to do with Halloween. I don't like Halloween, as a matter of fact. Pity my child because I will feign interest in costumes, trick-or-treating, etc. This year he won't know what he's missing and I'm taking advantage of that. We're going out to our favorite Mexican restaurant and won't even be home to hand out candy. Boo-humbug.

Brillant illustration. I LOVE it.

That is what exactly happened to me, that I fell for. My son innocently asked me to hold his pumpkin for him. Ah, Yeah! He went about having fun at the patch and completely forgot I was carrying his pumpkin. My arms definetly got their workout.

I have a 2-year-old, I tried to get a bigger pumpkin for him (as he picked through them.) His response: "Too big mommy." We got the smallest, after all, he insisted on carrying it to the car. Gotta give him credit...
